Introduction: Osteoporosis is frequently associated with renal disease, namely the bone metabolism disturbances caused by secondary hyperparathyroidism of chronic kidney disease (CKD). The increased risk of fragility fractures is well demonstrated in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
